The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (2008)
I thought this film was okay, I didn’t think it was all that terrible but it wasn’t exactly amazing either. It’s on offer at the minute in Asda for £5! Which is why I bought it & because I was recommended it! I’d definitely try and watch it at some point but you’re not really missing much if you don’t. It just seems messed up and the graphics are terrible at the beginning. I found it hypnotic and ended up watching it until the end. They could have done better things with this story line. It’s a shame.
(2-5) stars! SHAME ON YOU BRAD!
Hanna (2011)
This film reminds me a little of Leon, it has the same kind of style going on. But I actually think it might be better than Leon. Although some people may see that as an insult. I found my eyes locked on the screen and for once I was silent through a film, Except asking the usual “Who’s that?” “How did they die?” to someone who’s seeing the person for the first time.
This film is definitely a good watch and Saorise Ronan pulls off a great accent! (well so I thought!)
(5-5) stars! I’d definitely buy this on DVD! I hear it’s only £5 at asda too ;)
The Awakening (2011)
So, Last night me and my friend went to go and watch this at the cinema after we had a look on the Cineworlds website! I thought it was actually really good. I think the graphics they used were abit rubbish, but watchable. It’s a classic little old ghost story, although that wont agree with everyone.
The story line is pretty good but others have said it ruined the film. There isn’t much I can say without giving too much away but you should definitely give this a watch!
(4-5) Stars for your Mrs Rebecca Hall!
The Men Who Stare At Goats (2009)
I’m sorry but this film was terrible, I can honestly say I have NEVER before been so bored in a cinema in my life! I was not far off from getting up and leaving, but the thought that I had just spent £12.00 for me and my friend to go and watch it made me refuse to leave without getting a little for my money! I left miserable though!
Don’t go and watch this film, it’s shit.
(1/5) stars for this crappy little number.
Big Fish (2003)
Tim Burton never fails me! This film is so weird and yet so unique! I think it kind of has the same kind of weirdness as A Clockwork Orange? Maybe that’s just me. But either way, it’s a very strange film…
Stunning though! I wish Edward Bloom aka Ewan McGregor would plant a field of Daffodils for me and ask for my hand in marriage! Some people are just ungrateful though, ay. It’s films like these that make single life miserable! Hmm.
This film gets (5/5) stars, well done Timmy boy!
Beauty And The Beast (1991)
This is a classic film and one of my favorite Disney films. I decided to review it after I just bought it on DVD and spent the last hour singing Belle’s song.
Here’s where she meets Prince Charming But she won’t discover that it’s him ‘til chapter three!
annnnnd… There I go again, honestly it’s burnt into my head. I don’t really need to worry about ruining the film because I’m pretty sure 99% of you have already watched it! I love this film, I think it’s beautiful and I have a soft spot for Belle’s voice! I wish I sounded like that :( Bummer.
Anyway, this Disney beaut gets (5/5) stars! If you’re a Disney fan you’ll agree it deserves many more stars!
White Oleander (2002) I actually really enjoyed this film! Although Astrid’s eyebrows kept changing colour through out, which I couldn’t stop noticing and I could tell she was wearing a wig! Either way, back to the review! All in all I thought the film was good, the story line was good too! I’ve always liked Alison Lohman as an actor after I saw her play in Big fish! I wish Renee Zellweger was my mum! She was perfect! She always does a good job!
(I notice things not many people would and they annoy the hell out of me)
Anyway, this film gets (4/5) stars, I minus a star for Alison’s shit wig.
